Colorful Spots In London Town: A Guide
If you've never walked down the streets of Notting Hill or found yourself in a Mews in London, you are truly missing out. While London isn't known for being super colorful, especially compared to cities like Burano in Italy, but there are beautiful colors all over the place, and you just have to walk around to find them. If you wish to find a bit of color amongst the grey, I've created a guide to allow you to know the places to hit in Notting Hill, the Mews of Paddington and Kensington, and more, to be entranced by beautiful pinks, blues, purples of the city.
This road is ripe with lots of cute shops, colorful buildings and vintage finds that will make your day. It's a favorite of mine and many folks who have some time to wander down it.
Codrington & Horbury Mews and Ladbroke Walk
For music fans, Codrington mews will make you happy. It's the home of XL records, where Adele recorded her earlier albums. The buildings are covered with artwork from albums and houses a friendly cat who loves to be pet when you come by. And Horbury and Ladbroke are just a nice escape from the main road, full of cute houses and benches to relax if you want to take a moment. All three of these are off Notting Hill streets.
Elgin Crescent & Ladbroke Grove
For cotton candy houses and unique architecture, head to this part of Notting Hill for some house goals.
When I found this part of Notting Hill, I got major heart eyes as I walked down this magically colorful street. It had every color of house imaginable and I am so jealous of whoever gets to live here.
The Churchill Arms
This is probably the prettiest pub in London, unless you know of another. Covered in flowers and flags, it's a place to photograph and maybe even get a pint.
Bathurst, Leinster, Conduit, Gloucester & Hyde Park Garden Mews
These are my favorite streets I've found in London, and they're all a quick walk from each other. These mews are right off of Hyde Park and hold some of the prettiest streets I've yet seen in London. Don't miss these hidden gems.
Peggy Porschen Cakes
If you like cake and pretty pink shop fronts, then this is a stop you need to make. Located near Victoria Coach Station, this adorable store is Instagram goals.
