Tony Award Nominated Musical "On The Town"

Having only set down into New York City a month ago, I am still in awe of all the sights I see around me, and that was 30 days ago. Imagine only having 24 hours in the most exciting and vibrant city on earth? In Broadway's revival of "On The Town," three sailors get only a single day to make the most of their shore leave in this musical recently nominated for three 2015 Tony Awards (Best Actor in a Musical, Best Revival of a Musical and Best Direction of a Musical).

With music by Leonard Bernstein (most famously known for his West Side Story score), bright and beautiful sets and fantastic performances by the singers and dancers onstage, the reviews have only been favorable.

“Visiting New York soon and picking a show? Now it's a simple choice. You have not seen the real New York until you have seen ON THE TOWN. It's nothing less than the biggest, brightest and brassiest musical to open in years!” -Broadway World

What could be better than seeing a musical about New York while you're in New York? Watch the three sailors Gabey, Chip and Ozzie travel around to New York's most famous sites in this preview of the musical.

Just watching this video is enough to make me excited to see this production as soon as I can! Three men in uniform? Yes please! Plus, I am a sucker for some amazing dancing and singing, especially when done at the same time (and done extremely well). And, as a fresh New Yorker, it would make sense for me to go see a musical that is basically a song-filled love letter to this magnificent city I am now dwelling in. I really can't wait!
