Sunday Swag | February 15
I'm starting a new weekly round up post that I'll be doing on Sundays. I'll miss next week due to being in Egypt, but I wanted to at least start it off before I leave. It's a post full of the wonderful things experienced during my week, and things I liked and want to share.
I picked up some movie and TV-themed books at Waterstones today. Since I am an avid Monty Python and Michael Palin fan, I got another one of his books. My dissertation advisor suggested I buy Save the Cat, which is a book that should help me with my screenplay. And I luckily found a signed copy of Richard Ayoade's book, which was a nice treat. I am excited to read all three. I'm worried by book collection will get too big before I leave the UK.
Bristol in my Pocket made a big announcement this week about having to move back to the US, which hit close to home. I know it's been very hard for people to be able to find jobs in the UK, even with a Master's degree obtained in England. I wish her the best and know with all these Americans having to move home or getting deported, that I'm making the right decision to move back to the US, to avoid the struggles I've seen some of my fellow bloggers go through.
I've been feeling super fierce the last week or so, fashion-wise. I've lost over 12lbs so far since the beginning of the year with my low carb diet, and I can already start to see the change in the mirror, and in my clothes (already gone down a size in jeans). I do need to stop shopping though, because it's getting a bit out of hand, and I do not want to run out of money. My shopping hauls have included some super cute shoes lately though, which I'm happy to add to my closet.
I filmed a video for my writing business class a bit ago, and finally got around to editing it yesterday. It's just a short "meet the team" video, but it was fun to make and I really love editing and making short films, so I was happy to put it together.
My favorite actor, and biggest celebrity crush, Benedict Cumberbatch got married yesterday on Valentine's Day. I am surprisingly not bitter about this at all. I wish him all the luck with Sophie Hunter and just hope for his happiness and continued success.
