Goals for 2015


goals I'm not a big fan of New Year's Resolutions, mostly because I never end up accomplishing most of them. Here was my list for 2014.

  • Learn French
  • Lose 5lbs a month
  • Read at least 1 book a month
  • Take one photo every day (Instagram or DSLR)
  • Stop biting nails
  • Write 1 page of a novel everyday
  • Do stand up at least twice a month
  • Take dance classes
  • Complete graduate school process
  • Save money
  • Kiss boys
  • Go to Vancouver, Canada

As you can see, out of 12 things, I only did 3, so this year I don't want to make resolutions I can't really keep, because then I'll be disappointed if I don't actually do any of them. My list for this year is stuff that should actually happen, and are therefore more likely to be completed when I look back on them at this time next year.

  • Receive my Master's Degree
  • Move to New York City
  • Perform stand up once a week (when in America)
  • Take improv classes at Upright Citizens Brigade
  • Photograph beautiful things
  • Get a job in Public Relations
  • Eat healthier (without the main intention being to lose weight)
  • Start paying off student loans
  • Work on as many creative projects as possible
  • Learn to be content with the inevitable
  • Fall out of love
  • And hopefully fall in love again
  • Try not to get stir-crazy
  • Make connections and new friends
  • Sing everyday (and not care if I'm being too loud)
  • Allow myself to go with the flow
  • Dance a lot (in classes or in my room)
  • Throw irrational fears out the window

I think that's a good list to think about for the year. I know 2015 will be fabulous, and if it's anywhere near as good as my 2014, then it will be a wonderful and inspiring year. I'm excited to see what is ahead of me for my life.
